So, Ashley is going to Ireland for Spring break and we came up woth something awesome that she could do while she's there! We recently discovered that there is an International Dark Sky Reserve in Ireland called the Kerry International Dark Sky Reserve. We looked at how close she would be to the reserve and it was only 45 minutes away! She said that she would go and take pictures for us to put on our new website! We are so excited about this, and they are going to be included in our gallery that we're putting on the site. I have to ask my brother if he would be willing to take the photos for it, but I don't think we will have a problem!

UPDATE: Ashley ended up making to the town of Kerry and it's international dark sky reserve. She said that the sky was incredible and the town was tiny with very little lighting at night. This is probably why the town was made into a reserve in the first place. The only downside to the excursion was that she and everyone she was with had dead phones! She was unable to take any pictures, so I have included one above just so you can have an idea of what this magnificent place is like. I really would have loved to see it for myself, but unfortunately the "Courtney is Poor" fund hasn't panned out. Anyways! I also would have liked to have seen firsthand pictures of her experience, but she can't help it that her phone died, so I can't be too torn up! I would like to add something to my bucket list. I would like to make a point of visiting every single dark sky place before I die! It's going to be challenging, expensive, and time consuming. Also, by the time I can actually go I'm hoping that everywhere will be a dark sky place, so my severely unrealistic goal is to go and see the entire world. Good Luck Court.
